My Bio

If you buy an NFT using my art just know that you have been scammed. I have not and will not sell NFTs. My art is mine and mine alone. Unless you buy one of my physical-original paintings you own nothing.

I began working as a professional artist in 1997. I started out working in comics, first as an inker, then branching out to do lettering, coloring, cover illustration, logo design, penciling, painting and art direction. Eventually, I moved on to fine art painting in Egg Tempera, Watercolor and Oils as well. I also owned an art gallery for 5 years, during which time I hosted 27 art shows featuring local artists.

I enjoy learning and teaching almost as much as creating artwork, and to that end I have been creating professional video tutorial series since 2010. To date I have released 16 full-length (8+ hour) tutorial series through VTC, 2 full-length series independently, as well as many shorter ones through freelancing (directly for the companies that make the softwares). During the course of doing this work I have become particularly known for my teaching on how to make and tweak brushes -- as well as the many brushes I have made available to users as part of releasing these series, or directly for the software companies.

I currently write my free webnovel Stampede! Legend of a Magical Space Cowboy, as well as work on my own personal fine art paintings and occasionally release 3D content as a PA for DAZ3D.

Reflection Designer, a new collaboration between RiversSoftArt and myself has been released by DAZ today: https://www.daz3d.com/reflection-designer I made a few tutorial videos for it already: I also plan to record a 3rd video to answer questions from users.

I am doing a YouTube livestream July 2nd focusing on showing a deeper look at the newly released Lighting Designer, how it can be used and (more importantly) why it should be used. You can set up a reminder message by visiting the link and clicking the "set reminder" button. It is a good idea to watch the product tutorials first so you know the basics:

My latest product for sale at DAZ3D has been released today: The Isimple Shader System is a greatly simplified and streamlined base-shader set, the idea being to help content creators focus on creating great stuff rather than wasting time with too many confusing (and often contradictory) shader settings. I have also created about a half hour of free tutorial videos explaining all of the shader settings here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDDp5-FGS4UIYdri0TlJr-xGy0Enm1kRK
